Spaces In Between

What’s it all about? This collection of images comes from a place of experimentation with my camera, light, landscapes, our interactions with environment and nature.

What inspired you? One of the books that inspires me is by photographer Robert Adams Beauty in Photography. While discussing form he asks, “Why is Form beautiful? Because, I think, it helps us meet our worst fear, the suspicion that life may be chaos and therefore suffering is with out meaning.” He completes the paragraph stating, “We are compelled to understand Form by its fragmentary reflection in the daily objects around us; art will never fully define light.” (p25)

How was it created? The photographs were taken with 35mm film using a Nikon F3 camera, developed and scanned so that I might print images digitally or develop them in the dark room.
