Spaces In Between

This collection of images comes from a place of experimentation with my camera, light, landscapes, and our interactions with our environment and nature. The photographs are captured using a 35mm film camera then developed and scanned in order to print images digitally or develop them in the dark room.

An artist that continues to inspire me is photographer Robert Adams and his book "Beauty in Photography". While discussing form he asks, “Why is Form beautiful? Because, I think, it helps us meet our worst fear, the suspicion that life may be chaos and therefore suffering is with out meaning.” He completes the paragraph stating, “We are compelled to understand Form by its fragmentary reflection in the daily objects around us; art will never fully define light.” Adams (p25)
